 About Jerome

"I commit to live a free and authentic life. From this place I will lead people back to an awareness of the light within themselves, and thereby create a sacred space from where they can love themselves first, and then one another. In doing so, personal conflict will be healed and also conflict with one another."

Jerome Zazzera's Biography

jerome zazzera Integrating manual physical therapy and energy medicine techniques as taught by the Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBHS), Jerome is creating a synergistic approach to the healing of chronic conditions and pain in people across the United States and Canada. He is a staff physical therapist at both Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland, and Northwest Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Jerome's private practice is in Arnold, Maryland, at the Chesapeake Medical Center where he specializes in using myofascial release, acupressure, and energy healing techniques across the four dimensions of humankind. His unique approach to integrating the mind, heart, body, and spirit, leads the client inward to confront old defenses, uncover unhealthy life patterns, explore lifelong wounding, and ultimately discover their inner gifts and who they truly are. He provides a safe, compassionate environment that puts the client at ease and allows the client the opportunity to begin the healing process.

Jerome advocates the belief that each of us carries one or more wounds in our psyche that were formed somewhere from the time we were born to early adolescence. This wounding leads to the creation of false images that take the form of "if, then" statements. It is these images that cause us to build energetic defenses and repeat painful life patterns that keep us frozen and fearful throughout our lives. Clients then have the unconscious intention to perpetuate the images and those images distort positive intention and block the person's ability to allow the flow of energy through their physical body. The result is the gradual formation of chronic illness and pain that manifest in a variety of ways in a person's body.

Through his lectures and workshops at hospitals and in the community, Jerome is positively impacting a shift in how we approach health care for the client with chronic disease and chronic pain. His services are sought after by clients who have not been helped by our traditional western medical model. Jerome acknowledges the essence of the divine in each client. Through his gentle, caring approach clients find the courage to look at themselves without judgment and develop an ever increasing awareness of their unhealthy life patterns that have continued to sabotage their health. As their awareness increases clients begin to make different, healthier choices that they find empowering and enlightening. They then reach the point where they recognize their unique gifts and finally allow themselves to express these gifts. Once they reach this point they live in a more joyful, peaceful state because they have finally found who they truly are and they now have purpose in their lives.

As a board-certified physical therapist, Jerome graduated from Hahnemann University (now Drexel University) in 1998 with a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy. He graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in 2007.
